Together with a literature master about Chinese reference in the work of Henri Michaux (Sorbonne Nouvelle, Paris III university), Samuel Racine discovers various acting techniques by working with Masaki Iwana, Mayte Vaos, Yves Donq, Ctibor Turba, Marc Zammit, Ophélia Teillaud, Tapa Sudana, Eric Cugnot, Kazem Shahryari, Antoine Chalard, Stanislav Jeleskin or Yumiko Yoshioka. Through workshops and creations he practices butoh dance, commedia d’ell arte, clown, classical alexandrin, Balinese theatre, musicals or Russian puppets. This experiences of physical theatre innervates his interpretation of classical and modern plays.

Searching desire paths between various fields of artistic creation, he begins to work as a technician, coordinating the festival for three years at the C.E.P.A (European Centre of Poetry of Avignon) and as a technical director for Metazone TV’s Nuit Blanche in 2007 and 2008. He also learns various techniques for sound recording and editing, creates soundtracks and sound design for theatre shows, artistic installations and short films particularly with Tribudom association.

As a plastic artist, he uses digital and medium format film photography and designs decors for installations. In 2010, he learns cross-media creation and web documentary directing at school Louis Lumière.

He co-founds collective Fossile as a way of opening new creation territories at crossroads between different discplines such as theatre and performance, installation, digital arts and new medias, sound design, scenography, video, photography.
